Stained Glass is an ideal mosaic material, coming in a variety of intense colours, always with unique swirls and veining. Because the glass comes in larger sheets, it is very versatile for mosaic work -- with the right tools you can cut specific shapes (flower petals, bird feathers, etc), and make your own tiles of any size.
